Fancourt’s beautiful boutique hotel – The Manor House – is looking lovelier than ever thanks to a winter makeover that has seen its elegant rooms and historic hallways take on a fresh, contemporary look.
Interior designer Jo Pieters took on the task of updating The Manor House over the winter period, introducing a new palette of colours, vibrant soft furnishings and luxurious new furniture to complement this much-loved National Monument. With warm blues, greys and mustards inviting guests to relax and unwind, the new look is the perfect blend of modern design and classic styling.
As part of this refurbishment, The Manor House’s gazebo – a little “adults only” luxury added for the private use of the hotel’s guests – has been given its own mini-makeover. With plush seating – the kind you sink into – and plump scatter cushions begging guests to choose a quiet corner, sit down, take a load off and unwind, this is the place to enjoy a glass of wine or a traditional high tea, while taking in the endless views over the Outeniqua mountains and the rolling grounds of the estate.
The new-look gazebo is perfect for “me time” – curling up, reading a book and taking stock of life. It’s the icing on The Manor House’s cake and popular with guests wanting a complete detox from the pressures of city life and the humdrum of the work routine.
