Have you heard the news? The Manor House on Fancourt estate has been recognised with another leading travel award, having been voted South Africa’s Leading Country House Hotel 2018 in the recent World Travel Awards.
Everyone at Fancourt is thrilled to see The Manor House getting the recognition it deserves and we are all justifiably proud of this latest achievement. The Manor House manager, Jayne Barlow, accepted the award at a gala ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel in Durban. The event formed part of the silver jubilee World Travel Awards Grand Tour 2018 and is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious on the tourism industry calendar, so it was wonderful to have Fancourt in attendance and to have The Manor House as a winner.
It’s the icing on the cake for The Manor House which has been recently refurbished – never an easy task when you are dealing with a much-loved and awarded national monument! So the award is a fitting reward for the efforts made across the board in keeping this wonderful national treasure at the top of its game and wowing guests from all over the world.
It’s also great to know that The World Travel Awards are voted for by travel and tourism professionals and consumers worldwide, which means that The Manor House is continuing to make a great impression on both our tourism colleagues and guests alike. We’re all looking forward to what the next year brings!
Peter Dros, Director of Sales and Marketing at Fancourt, said it all when he commented on the award: “We are exceptionally proud of this award. Receiving acknowledgement on this level highlights the effort that goes into running The Manor House. It serves as recognition to all our staff who consistently put their best foot forward, and who work tirelessly behind the scenes. The hard work has absolutely paid off.”
